Join me on an epic adventure, intense and electrifying into the realm of Xibalba and explore an ancient sacrificial ground.
About ATM
ATM is an extensive cave system located in the Roaring River Valley. In 1986 Archeologist explored the cave for the first time discovering a rich archeological site filled with complex ritual offerings including those of human sacrificial nature.
Your morning starts with a scenic drive into the rich and fertile Roaring River Valley in West-Central Belize to ATM's carpark. Here we gear up, rigged with a helmet and light, sturdy hiking shoes, shorts t-shirts you are ready for trekking, ready for a morning plunge into the Roaring River and ready for the outdoors, ready to explore for the next 8km.
How to prepare
For your comfort we encourage strong footwear (tennis shoes) and socks, shorts, t-shirts, dry clothes to change into after your trip. If swimming is a worry let us know and your team leader will outfit you with a flotation device.
You will be hiking into the jungle, over rugged terrain, swimming into the cave and trekking in water changing in levels from ankle deep to a little swimming in couple places.

Caracol Ruins

Caracol is Belize's largest archeological site nestled in a dense carpet of tropical rainforest in the heart of the Chiquibul National Park.
The Ancient city tells the story of a complex society in Ancient Mesoamerica riddled in a political, mythological and religious world.
The Adventure begins with an early departure from the town of San Ignacio, heading south into the MPR (Mountain Pine Ridge). With the recent road upgrades the drive to the site is pleasant and offers a great opportunity to see the countryside.
Join our team for a discussion of the past and learn about the ancient lifeways of the Caracol Maya. Walk into this majestic ancient city surrounded by lush tropical jungles, listen to the sounds of the wild and the stories of the past. climb to the summit of sky palace for a bird's eye view of the hinterlands and drift into the past.
The latter part of your day will be swimming and exploring the natural cascades at the refreshing natural pools of the Rio On pools & falls in the Mountain Pine Ridge. Bring swimming gear.

It’s a day to kick back, relax and enjoy the ride at the caves branch cave tubing.
This mild adventure takes you tubing through a series of caves enjoying the natural beauty of this karst landscape. The hike to the put in point is almost flat and involves hiking with your tube. If your adventure calls for more fun, then a short walk and we are at the zip-line for another thrill zipping from tree to tree, platform to platform.
